Dear Ice Cream Cone,

Dear Ice Cream Cone,

I love you. I love to scoop in on high, with just vanilla. Especially Costco Vanilla.
I love you so much, that I bought 4 boxes of cones at the grocery store last month. The kids and I love a summer afternoon ice cream cone. I love a summer morning ice cream cone. And summer evening. Yum

Grant went to cash and carry and bought a BIG box of those sugar cones. 200. Wow. Lots of ice cream to lick before those go bad. I think that is a goal I can reach.

Love,
Rachel

P.S. if you want us to make you a small box of 20+ sugar cones (the triangle kind), call me!

Dear YouTube

Dear YouTube,
I love you
You make it so easy to find stuff
Like the music videos of songs I grew up with.
And the music videos of songs that I associate with each one of my kids.
Thanks for making it so easy to embed you into blogs, so I can share my favorite versions with my people.
You rock, really rock.
Love,
Rachel

Dear Julie, (Screen Phone calls)

Dear Julie,

Remember when we were all grumpy, driving to the witch doctor. Some No Doubt song came on. It reminded me of one of my favorites from the olden days. Back in the 90's peoples pagers or second home phone line answering machines had the middle/end lyrics for their messages.

"No matter matter matter who calls, I screen my phone calls...leave a message and I'll call you back"

That link will send you to the YouTube video (we did have those back in the day)

Hope you have a refreshing weekend,

Love Rachel

Oh, PS, Dear Gwen, we love you, Love, Rachel and Julie

Dear Twilight fan Julie

Sorry I didn't tell you. But, come on, it was major plot and the discovery is part of the magic of a book. So it looks like I need to buy you a "Team Jacob" sticker. Sorry about that. But you can find leagues of Team Jacob people. I'm sure they even have their own website where they can rip on Edward leaving.
Enjoy books 3 and 4 and 1.5,
Love
Rachel

Dear Rachel (reading twilight)

Dear rachel, YOU NEVER SAID HE ASKS HER TO MARRY HIM! How epic, and no warning!? Sorry for the shouting..... I was a bit shocked. Thank you for not telling me, but i still blame you for not. Loving the double standards :) -julie

Dear Edward, (reading New Moon)

Dear Edward, i dont even know if i have the words to explain my emotions right now. You left her.... Which was total bs by the way, then she comes to save you, like you expected that!? No screaming or crying. Then you get all self loathing on me about the leaving (your brilliant idea in the first and then PROPOSE to her?! Well done on that, but where is the mushy romance mr. Perfect? You confuse me to no end, and make me all doe eyed and dreamy.....suck it. Wheres the team Jacob? Ya- i said it. Step it up a notch Edward! love, julie.

Dear Ingrid Michaelson,

Dear Ingrid Michaelson,

Thank you for your music. The girls in our family love your CD "Girls and Boys". I'm embarrassed that it took me so long to find your website. YOU HAVE SO MANY MORE CD'S!!!

Thank you for inspiring me so many days and night. Comforting me on drives, stuck in traffic. That drive was my longest drive in a year, and it was just to the airport!

Thanks for lyrics that express my heart. Or just make it happy. And for the awesome way the music is built around the lyrics.

Thanks for "The Way I am", which became my last child's birth song. And thanks for the inspiration to finally write a post about my kids birth songs.

You are awesome.

Love, your adoring fan,

Rachel
